My super grape anti-aging order arrived today!

It's very concentrated, one teaspoon has the benefits of 100 glasses of red wine plus more.

It tastes great!

My company has developed a anti-aging tonic that works at the cellular level!

It's made from a super grape and it is exclusive to my company because they bought the crop from the biggest and best growers for the next 10 years.

In other news, I have entered the Ravelympics and will be competing for Team Cellular Peptide Cake in the Sweater Sprint and for Team West Virginia in the Hat Dash and the Home Stuff Hammerthrow. All projects are entered in the Gift Knits Pentathlon.

I've cast on a Modular Tomten Jacket, Grandma's Favorite Dishcloth, and a Basic Spiral Hat.

I lucked out for Christmas this year!

My sister gave me the SG-1 Seasons 1-10 Box Set, my Granny gave me 6 lbs of yarn and 8 sets of knitting needles, and my Mom and Dad gave me 8 skeins of yarn, Elizabeth Zimmermann’s “Knitting Without Tears”, and a bottle of Kahlua.

I am good to go!

I received other gifts too and I am thankful for the generosity and love given to me.

Kitten update:

Mowzie wasn't finished with 2, she added a gray and white baby to the mix.
She has adapted perfectly to being inside, no accidents and no freak-outs.

I've named the firstborn Junior, the black one with the white ring around his neck Ringo, and the gray one that seems to want to go places Roamy.

I think Junior's ears and tail are turning a little darker so maybe he'll have his mama's markings after all.

Although a nice box was prepared for the family, Mowzie didn't like it so she moved her litter under an end table right beside my chair.

Again, I wonder if she wants to be near me or if she just chose an out-of-the-way cubby hole.

The little ones are growing quickly, I've already had to move a CD storage case from under the table and when Mowsie's outside I'll be moving a bag of padded mailing envelopes that have gotten pushed back into the corner. I want them to stay under the table, not under my feet.

I"M HAVING KITTENS!

Or rather my cat, who's never really acknowledged that she *is* my cat, until now, is having kittens.

You see, there are feral cats here on the farm and last year I adopted Mowzie 2. By adopted I mean I said 'That's my cat and her name is Mowzie 2'. You see, Mowzie 1 died and Mowzie 3 was only seen once but Mowzie 2 thrived and thus was mine.

Anyway, she wouldn't let me touch her although sometimes she did seem to come when I called her but sometimes not.

So tonight I had the door open and she came in. She and Little Bit are the only ones that come in and hang out - but they don't let you touch them. I told Granny that Mowzie looked like she was going to have kittens and Gran agreed and went back to watching 'Law and Order'.

A couple of hours later Mowzie was lounging in Granny's chair when suddenly she let loose this loud meow and jumped down and ran under my bed. I was in bed at the time and when I looked over the side there was Mowzie having a kitten! Then Mowzie jumped back up into Granny's chair, which is beside my bed, and the kitten was still attached - dangling by one hind leg!

Being the excellent mom that she is, she proceeded to clean up her kitten and herself. Being the proud Grandmama I took pictures. And called people. Sleeping people. Oops.

After the initial excitement wore off I told Gran "wouldn't it be cool if she had a black kitten too?'" Hmmm, maybe I should mention that Mowzie is a light cream color with dark brown legs, tail, and face and Little Bit is black and male and the first kitten is cream like it's mama. Lo and behold about 20 minutes later I look over and see a tiny black head poking up over Mowzie's tail and when I go over there's a black kitten! So now our cat family is complete. Maybe. If she doesn't have any more kittens.

And the best part is, Mowzie let me touch her and her kittens. I only touched them briefly - Granny didn't believe me when I said there was a black kitten so I held it up for her to see. Other than that I am leaving Momma and babies alone.

I hope Mowzie will raise them here in the house so I can watch them grow and, you know, play with them. I like to think that she chose to have them beside my bed because she knows she is mine and she wanted to be near me. The other option is that we were having a severe thunderstorm at the time and she happened to be in the house when they popped out. Naaaw. She's bonded with me.

Now that it's dried off and moving about I see that the black kitten is actually black and white.

Mowzy's pushing her luck a bit. Yesterday she decided to use a chair as a scratching post. I scolded her without thinking and she took off! But she forgave me and came back in later to eat.

We've had quite a bit of rain lately and one of the times she came in, she was all wet. Poor baby.

Since you're visiting my LJ, I bet you'd like to know a little bit about me.

I work from home, I have an internet-based business where I market wellness products and train other people to do the same thing.

I have a cat, Mowzy 2, who started life as a feral cat and now comes in and makes herself at home for short periods of time. She won't let me pet her though. Of course I'm only guessing that she's a she.

I'm a sci-fi fan and Sci-Fi Friday makes me extremely happy. In fact, I arrange my schedule so that I can be prepared to watch until the wee hours of the morning. Stargate SG-1 is my favorite followed by Stargate Atlantis, Dr. Who, and Battlestar Galactica.

Sci-Fi Friday is, of course, followed by Sleep-In Saturday. *g*
